Eric Martin Named Peterson Power Systems President
Peterson Power Systems Inc., the authorized Caterpillar Power Systems dealership for northern California as well as central and southern Oregon, has named Eric Martin as president of the company. A twenty-year Peterson veteran, Martin has held a number of high-profile positions for the dealership at both Peterson Power and the affiliated Peterson Tractor. He has served in management positions in the truck engine division as well as managing machine sales and rental operations. He became general manager of Peterson Power in 2006, moving up to executive vice president in 2007.
Martin holds a bachelor’s of science degree in organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco, which he completed in 2006 while working full-time for the dealership.
Under Martin’s leadership, Peterson Power has experienced phenomenal growth. He was instrumental in introducing Caterpillar’s line of compact construction equipment to the dealership and was the driving force behind Peterson Power’s award-winning recycle and reuse green-business program.
