CAT servicing dealer access to OEM model information
OEM Service Interlink is a secured extranet system designed for CAT dealers that sell to OEM's to distribute information to any worldwide Caterpillar dealer that provides service for OEM equipment. The system is available only to Caterpillar dealers, and specifically only to dealer personnel that have a Corporate Web Security logon I.D.
OEM Service Interlink has the capability to store the following types of data:
- OEM contacts
- Selling dealer contacts
- Installation audit reports
- Non-CAT content and product support contacts
- Dealer added CAT content
- Special notes on servicing the OEM equipment
- OEM product support literature (any document in .pdf format)
- Engine and OEM machine photos (.jpg format)
Probably one of the most important features of this system is that when a servicing dealer accesses OEM model information, an email is automatically sent to the OEM and selling dealer notifying them of the customer and the problem. The selling dealer has the ability to determine who receives this email.
