The back flush valve is a tool that saves time and helps keep your pump operating at peak efficiency. This valve, when depressed, flushes out the suction hose. If the strainer for the suction hose becomes clogged with debris while the pump is running, press the valve in, hold in for roughly 10 seconds, let it go, and the pump will re-prime.
