Peterson Power Systems offers Caterpillar's complete line of Marine Propulsion Engines from 127-7369 bhp (63 kw to 7200 bkw) that are ideally suited for powering Pleasure Craft and Commercial Vessels. These engines are the premium choice for customers in high performance boats, passenger vessels, charter boats and work boats because of the distinct proven advantages in the area of engine choices, reliability, engine life, time between overhauls, fuel consumption and lower operating costs. Also available are Caterpillar's strong, long-running, and economical fleet of generator set packages and auxiliary engines ranging from 12-5200 ekw for Commercial Vessels and Pleasure Crafts. These marine products incorporate state of the art electronics components with Caterpillar's traditionally strong iron — resulting in superior engines that meet all new marine engine emission regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Environment Protection Agency (EPA).

Caterpillar's mechanically controlled engines are known for performance and reliability. Now CAT provides advanced electronically controlled engines as well. The Electronic Control Module (ECM) monitors and adjusts the engine for optimum performance. The ECM controls fuel delivery for fast starts, better acceleration response and fuel efficiency, giving you a performance advantage and reduced fuel costs. The electronic components in all CAT marine engines are specifically designed and tested to operate in harsh marine environments.
