Peterson Power Helps An Independent Refinery
A leading, independent refinery and marketer of petroleum products in California was obligated to follow air pollution regulations. Due to the lack of maintenance to the refinery and the high air pollution that the diesel rental equipment caused, the refinery was at risk of being fined heavily.
Peterson Power Systems agreed to find a solution to lower the air pollution that the diesel rental equipment caused. The refinery raised a concern about the need for a long-term, cost-effective solution to their emissions problems, a solution that would bring them into compliance with the regulations of the air pollution regulations for the county.
Peterson Power provided four oil-free air compressors and one 2MW generator with power distribution capabilities from 4160 volts to 480v. These units are all remotely monitored and can be started and stopped remotely as well.
With the new system in place, the refinery now has the ability to monitor and control their air compressor system remotely, and in the event of a power failure, the compressors will now start automatically.
